Matthew Friend, B.Arch​​ (Project Design Manager)

A prior graduate of NYIT Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program, US Army Veteran, construction manager, general contractor, project estimator and now Project Design Manager with our firm - Matt is a strong team player capable of taking projects on from concept to completion. His high-end millwork and custom cabinetry detailing ability compliments our firms dedication to interior architecture and design accuracy. Make no mistake, after 25+ years experience, you develop a few nifty techniques along the way... his techniques help to save our clients time and money as he has his background in construction. Being punctual, on time and dressed for the occasion - Matt is always ready to contribute design success to high end homes and larger scale residential  projects.

Our Foundation

Meet Eric Lodol, B.Arch     (Architectural Designer )

By volunteering for almost four years at the Habitat for Humanity, Eric gained practical experience of how a building gets put together. Having attended Marywood University, Eric has participated in a study abroad program in Italy to gain international experience. He has been a part of the design team for residential additions, extensions and interior renovations whereby he has performed the field surveying and completion of construction documents. He also has commercial and public project design experience and enjoys doing photo-realistic renderings with our firm. He is interested in expanding his design experience and has a goal of completing the internship development program and becoming a Licensed Architect in the next few years.

Walter is proud to be part of the American Institute of Architects and volunteers to review student projects at local colleges of Architecture and Engineering including Farmingdale State College of New York. He has also attended many variance board meetings, architectural review board meetings and plan review meetings with building officials. Walter also attends continuing education conferences and lectures on the subject of building code and compliance.

Michelle Anding, Bachelor of Science in Communications

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from St. Joseph's college in Patchogue NY. She is responsible for office management, book-keeping, time tracking, record keeping, marketing and maintaining Design-R's calendar. These are just a few of her daily contributions. She also has goals to become a notary in coming months and assists with building permit filing applications. Processing paperwork is a need for any organization, but Michelle helps to keep our firm "Green" by making our firm go "paperless" and recycling shredded paper that our firm discards.

Meet Dr. Russell R. Rosicki, AIA, NCARB, D.Arch, LEED AP

From working at Expo Design Center and architecture firms across the country, Dr. Russell Rosicki has become diversified and is a leading architectural designer. He completed his internship through hands-on experience at WFC Architects LLP and at a Workplace Solutions Group in NY along with RAFI Architecture and Design in NV. He also has had the opportunity to receive training from two of the previous presidents of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Russell's formal education includes Architecture (Doctorate, with Honors-UHM), Energy Management (Masters, with Distinction- NYIT), Environmental Management (Advanced Certificate-NYIT), Architectural Engineering Technology (Bachelors-FSCNY) and an Associates of Arts degree (FSCNY).These fields of study have prepared him to take on current and future complexities of art. architecture, engineering and the environment at once. Designing residences and businesses efficiently without compromising aesthetics is his specialty. To date, he has designed numerous additions, extensions, new buildings and interior renovations including the interior design for a few hundred kitchens and bathrooms. He has also been a part of design team for more than eight new large scale commercial buildings located throughout the US. Today he provides architecture/ancillary engineering design throughout FL NY & CT.

Walter F. Hyde III, Architect


Meet Walter F. Hyde III, AIA

After assisting with the design and build of an executive style golf course more than 15 years ago, Walter gained experience designing high-end residences and office buildings at a large architecture firm in New York. Walter holds a Bachelors of Science in Architectural Engineering Technology (BSAET) and has completed the rigorous internship development program in accordance with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards criteria. He has been part of multi-million dollar tenant roll out programs for corporations, ground up construction, site subdivisions, legalization of existing structures, and more.  He has experience practicing architecture in multiple jurisdictions and has a keen eye for good detailing. With better details and specifications; building departments, contractors and owners alike have a better understanding of how to build a project. His most recent projects include a financial institution design for rehabilitation, documenting existing buildings for numerous medical facilities throughout the state of NY, space planning of an assisted living facility in Port Charlotte FL, and the design of a multi-million dollar penthouse renovation in Manhattan.

Using the latest computer aided design software enables us to produce more efficient and accurate drawings as we can design 3D building models which translate into 2D construction drawings.

Sherif A. Albaklesh, Bachelor of Structural Engineering

As a professional registered civil engineer in Egypt, Sherif has both designed and built many new mid-rise reinforced concrete structures located throughout Cairo. He joins our team full-time to further his abilities in the architectural realm to gain multi-disciplinary experience. His engineering degree was originally received from Benha University in Egypt and the degree has been transferred and certified as a US equivalent degree of structural engineering. He also simultaneously practices and manages his firm Tameer for Construction with 26 employees, in Cairo Egypt and offers full design and build services inclusive of Architecture, Engineering and Construction.

Russell is a holder of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Certification (NCARB) and is proud to be part of the American Institute of Architects. He is also a part of the Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society in Architecture, Gamma Mu Chapter as achieved through his doctoral studies at UHM. Russell has also taught Materials and Methods of Construction and Structural Design courses as an Assistant Adjunct Professor.
